Paju-si, 93% Citizen Satisfaction with Cadastral Resurvey Project

Improving Land Utilization Value through the Land Readjustment Project

Paju-si, 93% Citizen Satisfaction with Cadastral Resurvey Project Results of the Land Readjustment Project Empathy and Satisfaction Survey.

Gyeonggi Paju City (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 28th that a survey on citizen satisfaction was conducted targeting four districts, including the Sambang district, where the cadastral resurvey project was completed this year. The results showed that compared to before the implementation of the cadastral resurvey, the utilization value of the land has improved, leading to high citizen satisfaction.

The cadastral resurvey project is a national initiative aimed at correcting the registered details in the cadastral register through precise surveying and land investigation, focusing on cadastral discrepancies where the actual land use does not match the cadastral records.

By applying spatial information analysis techniques through the Bareun Land System, an analysis was conducted by overlaying cadastral maps and various thematic maps before and after the cadastral resurvey project. The results showed that inconveniences were resolved for ▲52 parcels of land that were blind spots ▲244 parcels of regularized land ▲980 parcels of land where building encroachments were resolved.

Meanwhile, Paju City conducted a survey on the empathy and satisfaction regarding the project among landowners (449 people) whose cadastral resurvey projects were completed in 2023.

As a result, among the survey respondents, 97.4% (111 people) agreed on the necessity of the cadastral resurvey project, and 93.0% (106 people) responded that they were satisfied with the project results.

Both items showed an increase compared to last year's survey results, with the necessity of the project rising by 10.4% and satisfaction increasing by 6%. This appears to be due to the synergistic effects of collaborative promotion, securing access roads, and resolving building encroachments.

Kim Nana, Director of the Land Information Division, stated, “The increase in project empathy and satisfaction compared to last year seems to be the result of the cadastral resurvey project enhancing the utilization value of the land,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure that more citizens benefit from the project.”
