[Featured Stock] Shift Up Rises on NiKe's Approval for Chinese License

Game company Shift Up is experiencing an early surge in stock price due to expectations following the approval of the Chinese license for 'Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.'

As of 9:58 AM on the 28th, Shift Up is trading at 62,000 KRW on the KOSPI market, up 4,000 KRW (6.90%) from the previous close.

The stock price even soared to a high of 66,200 KRW shortly after the market opened.

On the 25th, the National Press and Publication Administration of China announced that it had issued licenses for 15 foreign games, including Shift Up's NIKKE. The license refers to the permission to operate games in China.

Choi Seung-ho from Sangsangin Securities stated in a report on the same day that the issuance of the Chinese license removes uncertainty and that future performance in China will influence the valuation.

Researcher Choi noted, "If Chinese NIKKE had not been released in 2025, it would be a sell based on simple valuation, but the issuance of the Chinese license for NIKKE on the 25th has removed uncertainty and increased the explanatory power of performance, which is positive."

He added, "Our 2025 estimated revenue projects that Chinese NIKKE accounts for 42%, and we place more weight on the possibility of success. Of course, the appropriate valuation is expected to fluctuate depending on actual performance in China."
