The Gwangju Small Business Association in Gyeonggi Province held the "2nd Gwangju Small Business Day" event on the 23rd at the Opo Sports Park Multipurpose Gymnasium.


The event was organized to boost the morale of small business owners struggling with high interest rates and inflation, enhance their management expertise to strengthen their self-sustainability, and seek ways to revitalize the local economy.


About 200 people attended the event, including Mayor Bang Se-hwan, members of the National Assembly, provincial and city council members, the president of the Gyeonggi Small Business Association, presidents of city and county associations, and local small business owners. Various programs for small business owners were conducted.


The event was divided into two parts. The first part included △a pre-event performance by the Maeyang Middle School band △a promotional video presentation of the Gwangju Small Business Association’s activities △awarding certificates of commendation to exemplary small business owners △congratulatory speeches by the mayor of Gwangju and other guests △and a local economy revitalization campaign.


In the second part, △management diagnosis and customized consulting △presentations of best practices and a banquet were held, creating a festive atmosphere to enhance the management expertise of small business owners and relieve stress.


Especially under the slogan "Closely and Thoroughly," a local economy revitalization campaign was conducted, emphasizing the activation of local commercial districts and traditional markets, purchasing local agricultural products, and reinforcing the commitment to and promotion of local economic revitalization.


Choi Hye-kyung, president of the Gwangju Small Business Association, said, "We thank the city of Gwangju for helping us hold this event and all attendees. We ask for continuous interest and support so that this event, which breathes new life into small business owners facing difficulties, will not be a one-time occurrence."


Mayor Bang Se-hwan stated, "I hope this Small Business Day event will serve as an opportunity for the development and coexistence of small business owners. We will continue to strengthen various support policies for small business owners in the future."
