NH Nonghyup Gyeongbuk Gyeongsan Branch Donates 1 Ton of Nonghyup Rice
Daegu Catholic University held a snack distribution event titled "The President Treats!" for students preparing for the second semester midterm exams on the 16th.
President Seong Han-gi, the student council, and officials from the NH Nonghyup Gyeongsan City Branch in Gyeongbuk are encouraging students ahead of the midterm exams on the 16th by distributing rice cakes, sikhye, and canned coffee.
President Seong Han-gi, the student council, and representatives from NH Nonghyup Gyeongbuk Gyeongsan Branch gathered at the central library plaza on campus to hand out 400 pieces each of rice cakes, Sikhye (sweet rice drink), and canned coffee to students with words of encouragement ahead of their midterm exams.
This event was part of the business agreement signed on September 24 between Daegu Catholic University and NH Nonghyup Gyeongsan Branch for "Fostering Future Agricultural Talent and Promoting Healthy Eating Habits," through which Daegu Catholic University received a donation of 1 ton of rice from Nonghyup.
The rice donated by NH Nonghyup Gyeongsan Branch is also used in Daegu Catholic University's "Thousand Won Breakfast" program, providing students with healthy morning meals. The budget saved through this program is used to supply fruits and desserts, contributing to offering better meal options for students.
Seong Han-gi, President of Daegu Catholic University, said, "I hope students gain strength as they prepare for their midterms," adding, "I am especially pleased to be able to provide students with healthy energy through rice cakes made from the donated rice."
