2024 Gwangjin Youth Festival Held

67 Teams and 585 Participants Including Youth Clubs, Youth Organization Council, and Village Schools

Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the '2024 Gwangjin Youth Festival' around the Gwangjin Youth Center on the 26th.

Now in its 8th year, the Youth Festival is a celebration where children and teenagers can freely showcase their talents and skills while gaining diverse experiences. It is an event where youth clubs demonstrate the skills they have honed through their activities, designed for enjoyment by all local residents.

The event will take place on the 26th from 2 PM for four hours. At the sunken garden of the Gwangjin Youth Center, a youth club performance sharing session will be held. Starting with an instrumental performance by the Daewon International Middle School ensemble, a total of 18 youth club teams and 231 performers will take the stage. Various performances including dance, choir, band, cheerleading, and traditional Korean music will continue until late afternoon.

Last Year's Festival

Outdoor auxiliary events will be held at the Gwangjin Youth Center. A total of 35 teams and 276 participants from Seongdong Gwangjin Office of Education, youth clubs, and social cooperatives will operate experience and event booths. The experience booths, including upcycling kit workshops, bookmark making, photo booths for four-cut life snapshots, and keyring making, are so packed that visiting them all would hardly leave enough time. Event booths featuring caricatures, tarot card readings, basketball games, and punch games add to the fun.

Additionally, the festival is linked with the 'Ttobagi Festival,' a local festival organized by the Gwangjin Youth Organization Council. Fourteen teams with 78 participants, including the Gwangjin Police Station and Seoul Youth Center Gwangjin, will prepare experience programs such as crime prevention promotion and woodworking crafts.
