After concluding the Supreme Council meeting in Ganghwa, Incheon on the 10th, Han responded to reporters' questions about what he meant by agreeing with the opinion that First Lady Kim should refrain from activities. First Lady Kim held a press conference on December 26, 2021, when President Yoon was a candidate, and publicly apologized to the people for allegations of falsifying her resume. She also promised, "Even if my husband becomes president, I will faithfully fulfill only the role of a wife." The promise Han referred to appears to be this commitment made to the public.

Regarding the prosecution's consideration of whether to indict First Lady Kim in the Deutsche Motors stock manipulation case, Han said, "I do not know what plans the prosecution has," but added, "However, I think the prosecution should present results that the public can accept." This is interpreted as Han emphasizing that the prosecution's decision should meet the public's expectations, which he has stressed so far.

In response to claims from the pro-Yoon faction that Han's public criticism of First Lady Kim harms the party, he said, "I am not attacking or criticizing First Lady Kim," and pointed out, "It would be better if the pro-Yoon faction did not hide behind anonymity to make statements disconnected from public sentiment, but instead openly express their opinions under their own names."

When asked whether he discussed issues related to First Lady Kim during a private meeting with President Yoon after the October 16 by-elections, Han dismissed the question, saying, "That was said by the presidential office, and since nothing specific has been decided, I have nothing particular to say."
