Easing Economic Burden on Residents Through Resident Registration Certificates and Related Documents
Gijang-gun, Busan (Governor Jung Jongbok), will make all service certificate issuance fees from unmanned civil application kiosks completely free starting from the 2nd.
Currently, there are a total of 122 types of civil service certificates that can be issued through unmanned kiosks. Among these, 46 types of documents frequently issued by residents, such as resident registration certificates and family relationship certificates, are currently subject to fees.
The county has decided to waive issuance fees to reduce the financial burden on residents using the unmanned kiosks, and recently completed the related ordinance amendment procedures. However, corporate seal certificates, corporate registration copies, and real estate registration copies are excluded from the free fee policy as their fees are collected by the court.
A Gijang-gun official stated, "We expect that making the unmanned kiosk service fees free will not only alleviate the financial burden on residents but also significantly improve satisfaction by reducing wait times at civil service counters," adding, "We will continue to strive to provide high-quality administrative services."
The county currently operates a total of 18 unmanned civil application kiosks at locations including Gijang-gun Office and eup/myeon administrative welfare centers.
Gijang County will fully implement free service fees for unmanned civil service issuance machines starting October 2.
