Uijeongbu City Successfully Completes 'Uijeongbu Visit Tour' for Gyeonggi Northern Christian Federation

Mayor Kim Dong-geun is taking a commemorative photo with members of the Gyeonggi Northern Christian Federation who participated in the 'Uijeongbu Visit Tour.'

Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 2nd that it operated a 'Uijeongbu Visit Tour' for the Gyeonggi Northern Christian Federation to promote tourism.

Before the tour began, participants watched the 'Uijeongbu Tourism Promotion Video' in the city hall's medium conference room and introduced Uijeongbu's tourist resources through a conversation with the mayor, sharing plans to revitalize tourism.

The tour proceeded in the order of ▲Jail Forest Bathing Forest Healing Trip ▲Budae Jjigae Street and Jeil Market Experience Trip ▲Art Library Cultural Trip.

Participants enjoyed the clear autumn scenery by walking the forest trail at Jail Forest Bathing Area with a forest guide. They also had a great time participating in various events held around Jeil Market and Haengbok-ro.

In particular, the sleek exterior and open interior space of the Art Library, a landmark of Uijeongbu, left a deep impression on the participants.

Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “We are striving to brand Uijeongbu as a tourism daily city where ecological nature and culture and arts are enjoyed evenly throughout the city center,” adding, “We hope that this visit tour will encourage more external visitors to stay and enjoy ‘Uijeongbu, the city you want to walk in.’”
