Global Hyungji Completion Goal
Establishing 2nd Generation Management System
Fashion Group Hyungji announced on the 1st that Choi Jun-ho, Executive Vice Chairman, has been appointed as the CEO of its subsidiary, Hyungji Elite.
Executive Vice Chairman Choi Jun-ho solidified the second-generation management system by succeeding the position of Chairman Choi Byung-oh, the founder of Fashion Group Hyungji and his father. Furthermore, by centering on Hyungji Elite, the group has taken a step closer to realizing its long-standing goal of becoming a ‘Global Hyungji.’

Choi Jun-ho joined Fashion Group Hyungji in 2011 and honed his practical skills in the purchasing and production departments for 10 years. He served as the head of the integrated purchasing and production headquarters in 2018 and as the head of the supply operations division in 2020, gaining experience from purchasing and production to the top executive role in the finance sector.
In May 2021, he took the helm as CEO of Castelbajac, marking his first full-scale management role, and in December of the same year, he concurrently held the position of President of Fashion Group Hyungji. Since then, he has been working diligently to establish a foundation for overseas market expansion and to discover new growth engines. These efforts were highly evaluated, leading to his promotion to Executive Vice Chairman overseeing all 23 brands within Fashion Group Hyungji.
His success in developing Hyungji Elite into the group’s most competitive business unit strengthened his appointment. Vice Chairman Choi chose the sports commercialization business and workwear business as new growth engines and stabilized them in a short period. He also made significant contributions to expanding the core student uniform business beyond the domestic market into overseas markets. Hyungji Elite, which closes its fiscal year in June, recorded sales of 132.7 billion KRW last year, showing a 40% increase compared to the previous year. In the sports commercialization business, following the initial focus on domestic baseball, continuous collaborations with famous overseas teams led to more than double sales growth.
The overseas business, which Choi Jun-ho has carefully cultivated, is also gradually showing prominence. Shanghai Elite recorded 18.3 billion KRW in sales last year, a 15% increase from the previous year. Besides China, Hyungji Elite is accelerating its efforts to penetrate the ASEAN market. This year alone, visits to Laos and Vietnam have been made to discuss business promotion with government and partner officials, and plans are underway to enter the Indonesian market as well.
Choi Jun-ho said, “I feel a strong sense of responsibility for the important mission of completing Global Hyungji,” adding, “I will unite with employees and partners to fully focus on expanding overseas business and discovering new growth engines.”
