Goyang-si Wins Excellence Award in Joint Policy Category at Korea Healthy City Awards

Awarded to 'Healthy Cities' Contributing to Citizens' Health and Quality of Life

Goyang Special City won the Excellence Award in the Joint Policy Category of the Korea Healthy Cities Award at the "2024 Korea Healthy Cities General Assembly" held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul on the 25th.

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 30th that it received the Excellence Award in the Joint Policy category at the '2024 Korea Healthy Cities General Assembly' held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul on the 25th.

The Korea Healthy Cities Award is given by the Korea Healthy Cities Council to local governments among its 103 member cities nationwide that have shown outstanding achievements in improving citizens' health and quality of life. By receiving this award, Goyang City was recognized for the efforts made by various departments in creating a healthy city.

Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang Special City stated, “We will continue to devote all our capabilities to promote healthy city projects so that citizens' health and quality of life can be improved.”

The city announced that it plans to strengthen continuous domestic and international networking and discover and implement best practices to further develop Goyang City's healthy city policies, using this award as an opportunity.
