Concentration of 11 Certified Businesses
On the 23rd, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it has designated a section of Namparo in Dangwang-dong as the 'Anseong City Food Safety Street' to create a hygienic and safe dining culture.
The Food Safety Street is designated by the city as part of its food culture improvement project. It is designated for certain sections where dining establishments gather, such as shopping malls frequently visited by citizens, areas around lakes, and tourist spots, provided that more than 60% of the establishments are certified under the Restaurant Hygiene Rating System or the Environment Plus Safe Restaurant program.

The newly designated Food Safety Street is a 300-meter section of Namparo near the entrance of Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Anseong Hospital. Among the 15 operating dining establishments, there are 4 certified under the Restaurant Hygiene Rating System and 7 certified as Environment Plus Safe Restaurants, totaling 11 certified establishments. Earlier, since March, the city has been promoting applications for the Environment Plus Safe Restaurant and Hygiene Rating System, along with inspections and verifications of applicant establishments to facilitate the designation.
A city official stated, "This designation of the Food Safety Street was possible because business owners showed interest in improving food culture and actively cooperated," adding, "We will continue to promote and support the expansion of Food Safety Streets in the future."
