Singer IU gifted residents nearby with designated garbage bags ahead of her concert at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

On the community board of Mapo-gu, Seoul, a post titled "IU's Consideration" was uploaded on the 19th. The author, Mr. A, said, "I live in a large apartment complex opposite Seoul World Cup Stadium," adding, "Since soccer matches and concerts are frequently held there, the area gets very crowded and the noise from events can be loud until late at night."

He continued, "This weekend, banners were already hung up for IU's concert, so I thought 'I guess that's happening,' and when I came home after work, there was a gift from IU hanging on my front door," sharing two photos.

The photos revealed transparent bags and pink designated garbage bags. The transparent bag had a note saying, "The 2024 IU Concert will be held at Seoul World Cup Stadium on September 21-22, 2024. We kindly ask for the understanding of all residents." Mr. A said, "There were ten 20-liter garbage bags inside," and added, "I've lived here for over 10 years, but this is the first time a singer has given gifts to residents because of their concert. IU's consideration is amazing."

IU will hold a concert with a capacity of 100,000 seats at Seoul World Cup Stadium on the 21st and 22nd. However, concerns have been raised that large concerts damage the condition of the stadium's grass, affecting the performance of soccer players. A petition requesting the cancellation of IU's concert was even submitted to the national petition platform, 국민신문고 (People's Petition). IU's agency stated, "We will strictly follow the ground usage manual and devote all efforts to grass maintenance."

Meanwhile, singer Lim Young-woong also gifted residents with Korean melons during his 2024 Lim Young-woong concert 'IM HERO-THE STADIUM' at Seoul World Cup Stadium. The gift was given during the rehearsal period before the main performance to address concerns about noise for the residents.
