Gyeongnam Changwon Namsan Middle School 1st and 2nd Year Seniors and Juniors
Netizens Demand Joo Woo-jae to "Reveal the Truth"
Actor Ahn Se-ha (38, real name Ahn Jae-wook) has denied allegations of school violence against him, while the controversy over the truth has turned its focus to broadcaster and model Joo Woo-jae. Joo Woo-jae is known to be one year junior to Ahn Se-ha in middle school.
On the 10th, a comment was posted on a message claiming Ahn Se-ha's school violence, stating, "I am one year junior to Ahn Jae-wook, and he immediately punched me in the abdomen just for making eye contact. I still haven't forgotten it." The commenter added, "Back then, the students at Namsan Middle School knew. He was a famous delinquent," and mentioned Joo Woo-jae, saying, "Honestly, Woo-jae, you know it too." Other comments followed, saying, "Joo Woo-jae was kind," and "Woo-jae was much thinner back then. He was very dark-skinned, wore glasses, and was a model student. Woo-jae was kind."

Joo Woo-jae was born in 1986, and Ahn Se-ha was an early 1986 birth, making them one year senior and junior at Namsan Middle School in Changwon, Gyeongnam. Netizens speculate that if the claim that Ahn Se-ha was a famous delinquent at the time is true, Joo Woo-jae would also know about it. In fact, comments asking "Please reveal the truth" have appeared on Joo Woo-jae's Instagram.
The allegations of school violence against Ahn Se-ha surfaced from a post on an online community on the 9th. In a post titled "Accusing Ahn Se-ha (real name: Ahn Jae-wook) of school violence," the writer, identified as A, introduced themselves as a graduate of the same middle school as Ahn Se-ha. A claimed, "Ahn Se-ha was bigger than his classmates during school days and was what you call a delinquent leader." He continued, "During the three years of school, whenever we met in the hallway, he cursed at me and picked fights, but I ignored him. Then, during a break in the third year of middle school, Ahn Se-ha took me to the boiler room with his gang, picked up a broken large piece of glass, poked my stomach with it threateningly, and forced me to fight one of the gang members even though I didn't want to. I didn't want to fight and had no reason to."
A explained the reason for writing the expos?: "I am a big fan and supporter of a local team in Changwon, but I saw a post saying that Ahn Se-ha, the main perpetrator of school violence, would participate in the ceremonial first pitch. Seeing a devil-like guy who gave me an indelible scar during school days throwing the first pitch at the baseball game my child will watch for their favorite team, I cannot applaud."
In response to these allegations, Ahn Se-ha's agency, Hoonus Entertainment, issued four statements over two days on the 10th and 11th, completely denying the claims. The agency also announced plans to take legal action. However, despite the agency's strong stance, more allegations have emerged. B, who identified themselves as a current teacher, said, "I was a classmate of the writer (A). Everything the writer wrote is true, and I am writing this to help the writer belatedly." B added, "Ahn Se-ha's group collectively beat A in the boiler room and forced him to fight. I knew he was being bullied but was afraid of retaliation and couldn't help, which makes me feel very sorry." B also said, "I was ashamed to be a bystander 25 years ago. If the agency engages in a legal battle, I will testify on the writer's side."
Another alumnus, C, also joined in, claiming, "I didn't even know the person who exposed this was in our class, but it is certain that Ahn Se-ha is a really bad person," and "Although not in the same class, our grade all knew and avoided him." Later, the original whistleblower A said, "I received calls from close friends," adding, "Ahn Se-ha's friend and my high school classmate asked for my phone number. They must have felt guilty and found me." He added, "I told my friends not to give out my phone number."
Meanwhile, as the controversy over Ahn Se-ha's school violence arose, his scheduled ceremonial first pitch was canceled. NC Dinos stated, "The ceremonial first pitch by actor Ahn Se-ha, scheduled for the 15th at Changwon NC Park, has been canceled," explaining, "Regardless of the truth, both the team and the agency agreed that it is not appropriate to proceed with the event before the issue involving the actor is resolved."
