Among the members of the 22nd National Assembly who newly registered their assets, key politicians such as Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, and Lee Jun-seok were included.


The Public Officials Ethics Committee of the National Assembly disclosed on the 29th the asset registration status of 147 newly registered members of the 22nd National Assembly. Members who continued from the 21st to the 22nd National Assembly had already reported their assets collectively in March and are not subject to reporting this time.


The figure who drew attention among the newly registered members was leader Cho. He reported assets worth 5.215 billion KRW. He declared deposits totaling approximately 2.09 billion KRW, with about 965 million KRW in his name and about 1.112 billion KRW in his spouse’s name. In addition, leader Cho reported an apartment in Gwanak-gu worth 700 million KRW under his name and an apartment in Bangbae-dong undergoing reconstruction worth 1.674 billion KRW under his spouse’s name.

Leader Cho attracted attention by reporting books owned by himself and his spouse as intellectual property. According to the report, leader Cho earned about 206 million KRW from "Walking Through Legal Classics" and about 70 million KRW from "Dike’s Tears." His spouse also reported income of 55 million KRW from "I Will Mourn Alone." Meanwhile, leader Cho’s eldest daughter did not report any assets, citing independent livelihood.


Member Lee reported total assets of 1.248 billion KRW. The largest portion of his assets was an apartment in Sangye-dong valued at 728 million KRW. He also reported deposits amounting to 470 million KRW.


An interesting point is that member Lee reported holding 45 different types of virtual assets, valued at approximately 776,000 KRW.
