A story about a Japanese woman who spent 170 million won on full-body plastic surgery after being told by her ex-boyfriend that she was "ugly" has attracted attention. The woman came to Korea for the surgery, undergoing so-called 'full plastic surgery,' and said, "After the surgery, not only my appearance but also my inner self changed, and I gained confidence."
On the 28th, Sankei Shimbun introduced a Japanese woman named 'Lala' who underwent full-body plastic surgery costing 18 million yen (170 million won) after breaking up with her ex-boyfriend who criticized her appearance. She explained on her social media (SNS), "I was dumped by my ex-boyfriend shortly after I started working as a nurse five years ago," and described her appearance at the time as "not dressing up and having gained weight."
Having never flown on a plane before, she took cash and came to Korea after being dumped by her boyfriend to undergo 'full plastic surgery.' She had three types of contouring surgeries, rhinoplasty, and eye surgery all at once, with the surgery lasting a full nine hours. Afterwards, she continued full-body plastic surgery including liposuction and fat grafting in both Korea and Japan. Throughout the multiple surgeries, she kept in mind not to have a 'trendy face' and to 'maintain naturalness.' The total cost she spent on various surgeries reached 18 million yen.
Since then, Lala posted before-and-after photos of her plastic surgery on SNS, gaining great response, and she is currently active as an influencer in Japan, gaining popularity. She revealed on SNS, "After being told by my ex-boyfriend that I was ugly, I lost more than 10 kg, underwent plastic surgery costing 18 million yen, and worked hard to exceed an annual salary of 10 million yen (90 million won) within six months." She stated that her goal is to become a woman who is mentally and financially independent, and also revealed that she has saved 13 million yen (about 120 million won) so far. She added, "If you really want to be happy, you have to work hard even if it’s tough, change yourself, and create a life you can be satisfied with."
She also explained, "What changed after the plastic surgery was not only my appearance," adding, "As I gained confidence in my looks, my behavior also changed." She elaborated, "In the past, I always blamed others and put others down to maintain my pride, but after the surgery, I gained confidence in myself and was able to fix that personality." She emphasized, "I was able to change both my inner and outer self for the better," and said, "I always try not to forget the thought that I am the only one who can change myself."
