"Come to Changwon for the Autumn Festival" ... Changwon Special City and KORAIL Launch Special Tourism Package

The '2024 Changwon City Tour Package' is a product that combines art, culture, and festivals, and includes KTX tickets, the Changwon City Tour, and a Dotseom cruise ticket. The package will be available for purchase from August 27 to November 6, with prices starting at 75,700 KRW for a round-trip KTX ticket from Seoul Station on weekdays, which is up to 37% off. Prices may vary depending on the schedule and train selection.

By using this tourism package, visitors can enjoy the autumn festivals while freely exploring major attractions in Changwon, from Masan to Jinhae city center, aboard a double-decker open-top city tour bus.

Detailed information about the package can be found on the Let’s Korail website (Travel Products → Domestic Packages → Gyeongsang Region).

During the package sales period, various autumn festivals will take place in Changwon Special City. First, the 7th Changwon Sculpture Biennale 2024 will be held from September 27 to November 10 under the theme 'The Big Apple Silently.' Over 70 artists (62 teams) from 16 countries, including Dolorosa Sinaga, Kim Ikhyun, and Jung Seoyoung, will participate and showcase a variety of artworks. Works by renowned local sculptors such as Moon Shin and Kim Jongyoung will also be exhibited.

One of Changwon’s representative festivals, the 24th Masan Gagopa Chrysanthemum Festival, will be held for nine days from October 26 to November 3. The exhibition area has been expanded from the existing 3.15 Marine Nuri Park to Happo Waterfront Park, and a variety of programs will be held to promote harmony across generations, including the middle-aged and youth.

For those who wish to escape the bustling chrysanthemum festival grounds, a cruise to Dotseom Marine Amusement Park offers the opportunity to enjoy an island stay within the city.

Opened in 1982, Dotseom features an observatory and an octagonal pavilion with views of the Machang Bridge, as well as various colorful photo zones throughout the island.

This Korail tourism package also includes a ticket for the Changwon City Tour Bus. The Changwon City Tour Bus is a double-decker open-top bus that circulates around Changwon's tourist attractions, making it a popular and convenient option for many visitors.

Changwon Special City Mayor Hong Nam-pyo said, "I am delighted that the collaboration between Changwon Special City and Korail can provide more customers with convenient transportation services and contribute to revitalizing local tourism," adding, "I hope many people will create special memories by enjoying the autumn festivals along with a train trip."

Meanwhile, as demand for convenience in travel, unique local attractions, and hands-on experiences continues to rise, Changwon City and Korail plan to continue focusing on developing new tourism products centered around train travel.
