'World Korean Women’s Network' Conference Opens in Incheon on 29th... 300 Leaders Participate

Korean women leaders from home and abroad gather in Incheon to discuss global leadership.


Incheon City announced on the 28th that it will hold the "23rd World Korean Women’s Network" (KOWIN) conference at the Grand Hyatt Incheon Hotel from the 29th to the 31st, in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.


The World Korean Women’s Network has been held annually since 2001 to promote communication and exchange among Korean women active in various fields both domestically and internationally, and to establish a foundation for international cooperation. This year marks the 23rd event.

This year’s theme is "Leap to a Global Hub Nation, with the Power of KOWIN," where participants will share experiences and wisdom to thrive as key talents worldwide and explore the future together.


At the opening ceremony, about 300 attendees including Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok, Deputy Minister Shin Young-sook of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, and women leaders from home and abroad will gather. CEO Lee Soo-in of Enuma will deliver the keynote speech titled "The Qualification for Success: Relentless Challenge and Passion."


CEO Lee will provide deep insights into the roles and challenges of Korean women on the global stage, sharing her personal experiences and messages. In addition, a special lecture introducing Incheon’s global status will be held alongside Mayor Yoo’s welcoming address.


Following this, the Global Women Leaders Forum will feature presentations and discussions on the theme "Development and Empowerment of Next-Generation Korean Women Talents," with speakers including Jeon Hye-jin, CEO of EasyTask, Dr. Kim Hyun-ok from the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, and Researcher Kim Hee-jung from Samsung Heavy Industries.


Networking sessions will be organized by fields such as economy and management, culture and arts, science and education. Nine Korean women who have contributed to enhancing national prestige and the Korean Women’s Association in France will receive commendations from the Minister of Gender Equality and Family.


On the 30th, a special cultural exploration program in the Incheon area will be prepared for overseas participants. They will visit Songdo International City, where the Overseas Koreans Office is located, the complex cultural space "Sangsang Platform," and the Incheon Urban History Museum, experiencing Korean culture such as hanji craft.


Mayor Yoo stated, "This conference will be a time for Korean women leaders from around the world to gather in Incheon, opening a new chapter of cooperation and solidarity, and further strengthening their roles in the global society."
