Pyeongtaek City Forms 'Safe Jeonse Management Team' to Prevent Jeonse Fraud

Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 28th that it formed the 'Pyeongtaek City Safe Jeonse Management Team' on the 26th to eradicate Jeonse fraud and establish a safe Jeonse contract culture, and has begun full-scale activities.

The management team, consisting of 54 members from the Korea Association of Realtors Pyeongtaek, Songtan, and Anjung branches and city officials, will monitor illegal activities in the real estate sector, conduct joint guidance and inspections, and undertake voluntary brokerage culture improvement activities.


The city will also issue 'Safe Jeonse Keeper Stickers' to realtors participating in the 'Safe Jeonse Gateway Guard Campaign' and enforce the following: prohibition of handling risky brokerage properties, providing checklists to tenants before contracts, providing information on office staff status, preparing for electronic real estate contracts in advance, checking essential core items during brokerage, requesting landlords to submit proof of rights and relationships, and sending notification messages in case of changes in rights and relationships after the contract.


A city official stated, "We will thoroughly carry out the activities of the Safe Jeonse Management Team to prevent potential damages to citizens and foster a sound real estate transaction order culture."
