LG Uplus Wins Gold in Content & Marketing at 'ICT Awards Korea'

Strengthening Customer Communication through Content Channel 'Ujam'
Easily Explaining Various Telecommunication Products and Services

LG Uplus won the Gold Award in the Digital Content & Marketing category at the 'ICT Award Korea 2024,' hosted by the Korea Information Science Promotion Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Gyeonggi Province.

Now in its 21st year, the ICT Award Korea is the largest domestic award event targeting ICT services such as web, applications, and digital platforms. It recognizes and awards companies that present innovative and excellent services and content in six categories: ▲Digital Insight ▲Digital Service Innovation ▲Web & App Site Quality ▲Digital Communication ▲Digital Technology Innovation ▲Digital Content & Marketing.


LG Uplus received high evaluations for its content channel 'Ujam,' provided through its official website 'Uplus.com' and app 'Your U+,' in areas such as ▲accessibility and reliability of information ▲originality of copy ▲quantitative and qualitative evaluation of content ▲efficiency and convenience of content usage, earning the honor of the award.


Ujam is a content channel newly established in January this year on the digital flagship channels to activate communication with customers. Reflecting the characteristics of the telecommunications sector, it offers 57 'Telecom Tips' contents that explain products and services, which customers might find difficult, in an easy-to-understand way tailored to the customer's perspective. Within seven months of its launch, it recorded a cumulative 11.72 million views.


The most popular content series is the 'Useful Dot' series, which delivers various information ranging from introducing new benefits to recommending suitable benefits based on extroverted and introverted personality types. As of August, the 23 contents in this series have accumulated 3.54 million views. In particular, the episode titled 'Why U-Dok is Especially Good,' which contains information on OTT discounts, recorded the highest views at 530,000.


Seasonal content related to new smartphone releases is also popular. The campaign 'Life Changed by AI Phone,' released in January alongside the Galaxy S24 launch, and 'A World Where All Telecom Fees Are One,' released in July with the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 launches, have surpassed 660,000 and 1.92 million views respectively.


Jeon Kyung-hye, Head of Digital CX at LG Uplus (Senior Executive Director), stated, "We will continue to strengthen communication with MZ customers centered on digital channel touchpoints and consistently present differentiated customer value in the telecommunications sector as a digital leader."
