Awarded Financial Supervisory Service Chief's Commendation to 5 Members of the 10th Volunteer Group After Volunteer Activities Completion
The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) announced on the 23rd that it will hold the launching ceremony for the 12th 'FSS University Student Financial Education Volunteer Group,' consisting of 152 university students, with Kim Mi-young, head of the Financial Consumer Protection Department at the FSS, in attendance. This year, the FSS has significantly increased the number of volunteers active in regions outside the metropolitan area to further promote financial education in those areas.
The 12th FSS University Student Volunteer Group will serve as financial education instructors for two years starting in September. The FSS selected university students from 46 universities nationwide who demonstrate strong passion for financial education and a spirit of volunteerism. To enable activities across the country, 80 students were selected from Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and 72 from other regions, ensuring balanced regional representation.
The university student volunteers must complete an instructor training course at the FSS headquarters, which is necessary for their teaching activities. Meanwhile, the FSS plans to award commendations from the FSS Governor to five outstanding volunteers from the 10th volunteer group, whose activities will conclude in August, for their excellent volunteer performance.
