The Work-Study Dual Training Center at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology (President Kim Youngdo) held the "2024 New Technology Experience Camp to Promote Work-Study Dual Training at the High School Level" with Buil Electronic Design High School, an industry-academia integrated Meister School, at the Industry-Academia Hall and Schneider Center on the 12th.
On this day, 19 third-year students from the Meister class at Buil Electronic Design High School, along with the head of the Meister education department and supervising teachers, visited the university to participate in the new technology experience camp, which included a special lecture on "Semiconductor and Electronics Technology in the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution" and a hands-on session on "Building Solar-Powered Robots."
This camp was organized as a measure to vitalize work-study dual training at the high school level by expanding opportunities for high school-level apprentices to experience new technologies, thereby presenting a career development roadmap and increasing motivation for training.
Participating students from Buil Electronic Design High School said, "Listening to stories about future jobs related to robotics made me want to further develop the practical skills I am learning now."
Ko Seokjo, a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, who gave a special lecture on ChatGPT, said, "I was surprised by the students' great enthusiasm for future careers and new technologies," and added, "I hope there will be more opportunities in the future to introduce new technologies to Meister students."
