Two weeks after an electric vehicle fire occurred in Cheongna International City, Incheon, another fire broke out in a nearby complex, shocking the residents.

According to the Incheon Western Fire Station on the 14th, at around 7:49 PM, a fire broke out in a parked Mercedes-Benz vehicle in the underground parking lot of an apartment in Cheongna-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon. A man in his 30s who was inside the vehicle was injured and was transported to a nearby hospital by the 119 emergency medical team for treatment. The vehicle on fire was not an electric car.

The apartment where the fire occurred faces the road and is opposite the apartment where, on the 1st of this month, an electric vehicle fire in the underground parking lot damaged 87 vehicles by fire and caused soot damage to 783 vehicles.

The fire department, upon receiving the report, extinguished the fire at around 8:29 PM, approximately 40 minutes later. The fire authorities found items inside the vehicle that are used in extreme situations, and plan to investigate the specific cause after extinguishing the fire.

When the fire trucks rushed out with sirens blaring that day, residents feared another large-scale damage might occur, but fortunately, the fire was extinguished without major damage.
