Chungnam Small Businesses Suffer Nearly 200 Million Won in Losses Due to Tmap Crisis

Chungnam Province has begun providing support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners affected by the Wemakeprice and TMON incidents, in line with the government's response.


According to the province on the 12th, as of the 7th, there were 329 cases of consumer damage reported in the province (based on Korea Consumer Agency data), and eight sellers suffered losses totaling 185,904,000 KRW.


The province will provide policy funds for small business owners with mid- to low-credit ratings, offering up to 50 million KRW per case and up to 2.5% interest support for up to two years.


Applications can be submitted through the Chungnam Credit Guarantee Foundation website.


In addition, the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency is reviewing support measures to help SMEs and small business owners enter Nongsarang and affiliated online malls.


A provincial official stated, "We will continue to monitor the scale and situation of the damages and provide support tailored to local circumstances," adding, "We will do our best to prevent further spread of damages among SMEs and small business owners."
