Main Prize in Communication Category at Asia's Top 3 Design Awards, K-Design Award
Use of 'Busan is good' Recognized for Originality by Jury Panel
The Busan city government’s promotional booklet "Busanira Jotta" has been honored with the "Winner" award in the Communication category at the K-Design Award.
The "K-Design Award" is one of the top three design awards in Asia and is the most recognized design award in the Korean design industry. It is hosted by "Designsori."
This year, a total of 2,637 design works from 23 countries around the world were submitted, and the winners were selected through a rigorous and precise judging system.
The city designed the promotional booklet "Busanira Jotta" using Busan’s new city brand "Busan is good," and produced it as a functional print material, earning recognition from the judges for the originality of its concept.
The slogan "Busan is good for CITIZENS" was expressed by combining the English letters of words such as ▲global ‘C’ity ▲hap‘I’ness ▲mice&cul‘T’ure ▲digital ‘I’novation ▲‘Z’ero carbon city ▲financ‘E’&startup ▲cha‘N’ge ▲busan i‘S’.
The booklet is structured in a stepwise format to represent the expanding image of Busan, and each section features city government photos symbolizing each word, expressing a dynamic and future-oriented image of Busan.
The city government’s promotional booklet "Busanira Jotta" is continuously exhibited and promoted at the K-Design Award online exhibition (kdesignaward.com/exhibition).
Park Kwangmyung, the city spokesperson, said, “We are delighted that the design concept of Busan city’s promotional booklet 'Busanira Jotta' has been recognized globally with this award,” and added, “The city will continue to incorporate fresh and innovative designs into city government promotions, in line with the wave of innovation and change taking place under the 8th popularly elected city administration.”
