Netflix and Theme Zone Creation... Opening in Early September
Experience the Series Universe of 'Now at Our School' and More
Everland, operated by Samsung C&T Resort Division, will introduce the 'Blood City' theme zone this fall in collaboration with Netflix. This is to provide customers with experiential services featuring popular Netflix series content such as 'All of Us Are Dead' and 'Stranger Things.'
Everland announced on the 6th that it plans to launch the 'Blood City' theme zone in collaboration with Netflix. Blood City is the representative experiential zone of Everland's autumn festival, opening early next month.
Everland explained that this is the first time in Korea that multiple Netflix drama intellectual properties (IPs) are being used to operate a large-scale outdoor complex experiential zone for an extended period.
A Netflix representative said, "We are very excited to collaborate with Everland, the largest theme park in South Korea that sparked the 'K-content' craze," adding, "An amazing theme zone combining Everland's infrastructure and the Netflix universe will be created."
Blood City has established itself as a horror experience hotspot by presenting new stories and unique collaborations every autumn. Last year, it created a cyberpunk-style unique experiential space with art director Chae Kyung-sun, who won a U.S. Emmy Award for 'Squid Game.'
This year, the collaboration with Netflix aims to provide customers with an even more overwhelming immersive experience.
An Everland official stated, "We will vividly recreate stories from globally famous Netflix series and present a 'hip' horror-filled Blood City unlike anything seen before."
Meanwhile, Everland is strengthening content and product development through its own IP characters such as Bao Family and Reshi & Friends. It is also enhancing collaboration with external IPs by utilizing popular content like animals, plants, and attractions, as well as the park's infrastructure as a platform.
