Nowon District Mayor Oh Seung-rok Attends Scholarship Ceremony at '2024 Nowon Youth Vision Festival'

On the 26th at 4 PM, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, Seoul, attended the 2024 Nowon Education Welfare Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony, the 'Nowon Youth Vision Festival,' held in the large auditorium on the 2nd floor of the district office.

The Nowon Youth Vision Festival is an event that selects outstanding local talents and provides vision lectures and scholarship certificates to help students focus on their studies. About 250 people, including scholarship recipients and sponsors (organizations), attended.

The event was divided into two parts: Part 1 was a career special lecture, and Part 2 was the scholarship certificate presentation ceremony. In Part 1, voice actor Kim Bo-min, who actively works as a voice actor and runs the YouTube channel 'Sseubokman,' gave a lecture as the speaker.

In particular, voice actor Kim Bo-min deeply sympathized with the purpose of the event and donated the entire lecturer fee for the career special lecture, conveying a warm heart.

Part 2 proceeded in the order of opening, introduction of guests, report on the progress of the scholarship project, greeting by Mayor Oh Seung-rok, scholarship certificate presentation, and commemorative photo session.

The scholarship project accepted applications for two months from April to May, and scholarship recipients were selected through the screening of the Scholarship Selection Committee and the final review by the local committee. Among the final selectees, 150 high school students will receive 1 million KRW each, 25 university students will receive 2 million KRW each, 5 students with special talents in arts and sports will receive 2 million KRW each, and 5 Dream Future scholarship students will receive 300,000 KRW monthly.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, "The scholarships donated will be a precious nourishment for children to devote themselves to their studies and grow," and added, "I hope students will focus on their studies and lead a bright future for the local community."
