The city of Daejeon announced that it has appointed the band Yuk Jungwan Band as its promotional ambassadors to promote the nationwide 'Daejeon 0 O'clock Festival' to be held in August.

Yuk Jungwan Band is a two-member group loved for their relatable lyrics and retro melodies in songs such as 'Bongsuki', 'I'm Leaving Work', and 'Office Worker Blues'.

Yuk Jungwan Band plans to present a newly remade version of the nostalgic Korean pop song 'Daejeon Blues', which serves as the motif for the festival. On August 12, during the festival period, they will also perform at the K-POP Concert to connect with Daejeon citizens through music.

Yuk Jungwan Band stated, "We will do our best to support the Daejeon 0 O'clock Festival and other festivals in Daejeon so they can grow into global events beyond Korea, through various promotional activities."

Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, said, "I am delighted to appoint Yuk Jungwan Band, who have gained popularity through their musical talent and appearances on TV entertainment programs, as promotional ambassadors for the city of Daejeon and the 'Daejeon 0 O'clock Festival.' I hope they will actively promote not only the festival but also the fun and charm of the city of Daejeon to attract even more tourists."

Meanwhile, after the appointment ceremony, Yuk Jungwan Band donated 5 million won to Daejeon City as a Hometown Love Donation.
