'Financial Sector Joint Recruitment Fair' to be Held from Next Month 21 to 22... 77 Companies Participating

The largest recruitment event in the financial sector, the '2024 Joint Financial Sector Recruitment Fair,' will be held for two days from August 21 to 22 at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul.

Started in 2017 and now in its 8th year, the Joint Financial Sector Recruitment Fair will feature a record number of participants with 77 financial institutions, including 13 new participants such as 2 internet-only banks and 4 financial IT companies.

The fair will be conducted both online and offline, offering useful and diverse programs for young job seekers aiming to work in the financial sector.

From August 3, the fair's website will open to host online programs. The website will include a ‘Corporate Recruitment Information Center’ where visitors can check company status, job information, and recruitment plans for each of the 77 participating institutions. An online booklet titled ‘Financial Sector Job White Paper 3.0,’ containing career development programs and job-hunting tips from the participating institutions, will also be provided.

Videos such as the ‘Financial Sector Insider Talk Concert,’ featuring current employees sharing their success know-how, and ‘Job Senior Vlogs,’ which offer vivid experiences of actual job sites, will be available on the fair’s website. A ‘Self-Diagnosis Solution for Job Preparation’ will also be offered, allowing job seekers to assess their preparation levels for each recruitment stage, including resumes and interviews, and receive necessary training.

From August 17 to 14, five sessions of ‘Insider Job Coaching Chats’ will be held every Wednesday. Young job seekers and financial industry employees will participate in real-time online Q&A sessions. From August 22 to 26, a ‘Financial Sector Written Mock Exam’ will be conducted to help participants understand the latest question types and assess their skills.

Meanwhile, during the fair, 12 banks including KB Kookmin Bank, Hana Bank, Shinhan Bank, and Woori Bank will conduct on-site interviews. Those wishing to attend on-site interviews must submit their documents through the fair’s website between August 5 and 17, and only those who pass the document screening will be eligible for the interviews. Candidates selected as outstanding interviewees at the on-site interviews will be exempted from document screening when applying to the respective bank.

Additionally, 17 financial public enterprises will conduct mock interviews, and the other 48 participating institutions will provide recruitment consultations. Mock interviews and recruitment consultations will be available by prior application on the fair’s website from August 5 to 22. For the first time this year, a ‘High School Graduate Employment Success Talk Concert,’ where current employees who graduated from high school share their job-hunting know-how, will be held. A ‘Youth Financial Education Mentor Center’ providing educational information on finance and asset management will also be operated.
