NH Investment & Securities announced on the 25th that it delivered 72 refrigerators to village communities in Gangjin-gun, Jeollanam-do.
NH Investment & Securities held a refrigerator delivery ceremony at the Gangjin County Office on the same day, attended by Kim Yong-gi, Vice President of NH Investment & Securities, and Kang Jin-won, Governor of Gangjin-gun.
The refrigerator delivery event in Gangjin-gun by NH Investment & Securities is the third village community support project this year, with plans to carry out projects in a total of six counties. The selection of regions is based on population statistics from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, comprehensively reflecting factors such as the aging rate, the proportion of elderly living alone, absolute population numbers and population decline trends, and fiscal independence, applying weighted priorities accordingly.
As part of the NongHyup Group, NH Investment & Securities actively practices social responsibility activities including support for farm households and helping with farm labor. From 2019 to 2021, it supported the replacement of outdated cooking facilities in rural village communities (village halls, senior centers) with electric ranges (induction cooktops), and since 2022, it has supported refrigerators, which are durable goods installed in senior centers. A total of 1,263 induction cooktops were delivered from 2019 to 2021, and 720 refrigerators over two years starting in 2022.
NH Investment & Securities plans to continue visiting rural areas with labor shortages to assist with "creating villages together" through labor support and village community projects. Kim Yong-gi, Vice President of NH Investment & Securities, stated, "The rural village community support project is one of NH Investment & Securities' representative social contribution activities, and we will continue to carry out ongoing rural support projects."
