Driving on the Extreme Route Known as the 'Green Hell'

It is now possible to ride in a Genesis G70 driven by a professional driver on the N?rburgring track in Germany, known as the "Green Hell" for its harsh course.

On the 21st (local time), Genesis announced the launch of the "Genesis Track Taxi Nordschleife" program at the N?rburgring in Germany.

The track taxi program allows general customers to ride along in a vehicle driven by a professional driver (instructor) on a racing circuit, experiencing various driving conditions and extreme performance.

In the Genesis Track Taxi Nordschleife, up to three passengers can ride in one vehicle and experience high-speed driving on the 20.8 km N?rburgring track in about 8 to 10 minutes.

The taxi program uses a G70 3.3T tuned for circuit driving. It delivers a maximum output of 370 horsepower, maximum torque of 510 Nm, and a top speed of 270 km/h, equipped with Michelin's high-performance sports tires, the "Pilot Sport 4S." The exterior is painted in Genesis Magma's signature orange color.

The N?rburgring, located in the N?rburg area of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, is called the "Green Hell" due to its demanding driving course. It is divided into the 20.8 km Nordschleife in the north and the 5.1 km "GP-Strecke" in the south. Especially, the Nordschleife where the Genesis Track Taxi operates is known for its narrow road width, 73 corners, and an elevation difference of up to 300 meters, making it a challenging course.

This is part of the "Magma Program," which was unveiled last March with the intention of expanding into the high-performance segment. At the "Goodwood Festival of Speed," the UK's largest automotive festival held from July 11 to 14, the GV60 Magma Concept and G80 Electric Vehicle (EV) Magma Concept will be showcased in their world premiere driving demonstrations.

A Genesis official said, "'Genesis Track Taxi Nordschleife' will be an important milestone in our journey to offer Genesis high-performance models," adding, "The customer experiences gained through this program will help advance Genesis performance."
