Park Jong-hyo, Mayor of Namdong-gu, Incheon, Discusses Exchange and Cooperation Plans with Delegation from Long An Province, Vietnam

Incheon Namdong-gu announced on the 17th that it discussed exchange and economic cooperation measures with Long An Province, which is developing as an economic hub in Vietnam.


According to Namdong-gu, on the 14th, a meeting was held at the district office with Namdong-gu Mayor Park Jong-hyo, Vice Chairman Pham Tan Hoa, and Nguyen Ba Luan, Director of the Ministry of Information and Communications, along with other representatives from Long An Province.


Long An Province is a key area connecting the Mekong Delta region and southern Vietnamese economic centers such as Ho Chi Minh City, ranking third in Korea's investment scale within Vietnam. In particular, it plans to build up to 51 industrial complexes covering an area of 124㎢ (approximately 37.51 million pyeong) by 2030, and is expanding investment attraction focused on advanced technology businesses.

Vice Chairman Pham Tan Hoa said, "We have great interest in companies located in Namdong National Industrial Complex with excellent technological capabilities, including AI-based CCTV construction companies," adding, "Long An has abundant young and skilled labor, and through the industrial complex expansion project, we want to attract excellent Korean companies."


When he was informed that Namdong-gu plans to visit Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in November to explore overseas markets, he also invited them to definitely visit Long An.


Namdong-gu Mayor Park Jong-hyo responded, "Since Namdong-gu and Long An both have large-scale industrial complexes and similar development directions, we want to seek a win-win approach based on the potential of both regions," adding, "I hope this meeting will serve as an opportunity to further activate exchange and cooperation."
