Emergency Care, Universities and Field Join Forces... Tongmyong University and Busan Cosbi Co. Sign Agreement on Emergency Patient Transport Management

Universities specializing in emergency rescue and companies in the field have joined forces.

The Department of Emergency Medical Technology at Tongmyong University (President: Jeon Ho-hwan, Department Head: Kim Sungju) signed an industry-academia cooperation agreement with Busan Cosbi Co., Ltd. (CEO: Hwang Hyuncheol), which provides inter-hospital transfers of emergency patients and community-based field medical support, on the 14th.

This agreement was established to strengthen mutual cooperation in the field of emergency rescue, research, education, and practical work.

Jang Seokwon, branch manager of Busan Cosbi Co., Ltd., said, "Transferring emergency patients between hospitals in the community is a crucial factor for the survival and prognosis of emergency patients. Through this cooperation, we expect to provide more professional and systematic emergency transfer services."

Kim Sungju, head of the department, explained, "Professional emergency care and emergency patient management during ambulance transport are essential areas in emergency medical technology. Improving practical skills in this field can contribute to increasing patient survival rates and reducing aftereffects."

Kim also said, "I am pleased that students will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in the field, not just learn theory."

Professor Kim Deoksul emphasized, "Collaboration with Busan Cosbi Co., Ltd., which has extensive field experience, will greatly help strengthen students' practical competencies."

This agreement is expected to contribute to the development of the emergency medical system and the cultivation of talent through cooperation between the Department of Emergency Medical Technology at Tongmyong University and Busan Cosbi Co., Ltd. They plan to collaborate in various areas such as joint research, development of educational programs, and support for field training.
