Efforts Made for Event Safety with Operation Headquarters and Safety Personnel Deployment
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the "2024 Gwangjin Environmental Festival" at Children's Grand Park on June 8th in celebration of the 29th Environment Day.
The Environmental Festival, held at the Open Stage area, will begin at 1 PM with a pre-event performance by the Gwangjin-gu Youth Choir, followed by ▲ Energy Saving Cool Outfit Fashion Show ▲ Environment Day Ceremony ▲ Screening of the Climate 1.5 Degree Film.
First, the Energy Saving Cool Outfit Fashion Show will take place. A total of 18 models (teams) from the district, selected through prior recruitment, will take the stage to showcase various styles of cool outfits.
At the Environment Day Ceremony, there will be the "Declaration of Carbon Neutral Green Living Practice," awards for environmental protection contributors, prizes for the youth environmental art contest winners, and the Cool Outfit Fashion King awards.
Additionally, the Climate 1.5 Degree Film Festival will screen the documentary film "Ordinary Courage," which focuses on a one-week carbon zero project. Two hundred participants will be recruited through prior registration, and any residents interested in the environment can apply on the Gwangjin-gu Office website. After the screening, there will be a generous prize event including hotel accommodation vouchers and comprehensive health check-up coupons.
Moreover, various eco-friendly experience and promotional booths will be operated to spread green living practices, including ▲ making cards using AR augmented reality ▲ face painting ▲ making companion plants.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "This event was prepared to widely promote the importance of proactive carbon neutrality practice and environmental protection," adding, "Going forward, Gwangjin-gu will continue to carry out various environmental protection activities with residents to realize a sustainable green city."
Meanwhile, Gwangjin-gu is also focusing on safety management to ensure all visitors can comfortably enjoy the event. In particular, a safety headquarters will be operated on the day of the event, and safety management personnel will be stationed throughout the venue to respond promptly in case of emergencies.
