Incheon International Airport Corporation organized an event where stakeholders from industry, academia, and the local community gathered to explore ways for Incheon Airport and the region to coexist and prosper together.
On the 30th, Incheon International Airport Corporation held the first 'Incheon Airport Forum' at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Incheon.
The Incheon Airport Forum is an event where stakeholders from the airport, industry, academia, and the local community jointly seek directions for the mutual development of Incheon Airport and the region, sharing current issues through various lectures and presentations. It is a follow-up measure to the 'Business Agreement for Co-prosperity with the Local Community' signed in April with organizations such as the Incheon Society, Incheon Management Forum, and Inhanghoe.
About 200 people attended the event, including Lee Hak-jae, President of Incheon International Airport, heads of resident organizations at Incheon Airport, executives of the corporation’s subsidiaries, representatives of local residents, and officials from various institutions.
For the keynote lecture, former Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Se-ho presented on the topic "Future Development Plans to Strengthen the Competitiveness of Incheon Airport."
The corporation plans to hold forums in August on business innovation strategies in the era of advanced technology, and in November on the theme of coexistence between Incheon Airport and the local community.
President Lee Hak-jae said, "I hope the Incheon Airport Forum will grow to represent our country and further become a leading forum in the global aviation sector."
