Hanwha Vision Opens Recruitment for 'Open Innovation' Startups... Applications Accepted Until June 21

Support up to 50 million KRW

Hanwha Vision, a video security specialist company, announced on the 27th that it is recruiting startups to participate in the open innovation program 'Startup Open Stage,' conducted in collaboration with the Seoul Creative Economy Innovation Center.


The application period is from today until June 21. Any startup with ideas, technologies, or services in the fields of smart solutions, vision and artificial intelligence (AI), or AI models and data can apply.


The Hanwha Vision open innovation program, which started last year, attracted participation from over 100 startups.


Among them, five companies?J-Micro, Applaze, Difly, Energize, and IPinLabs?were finally selected as startups for Proof of Concept (PoC) for commercialization due to their outstanding innovation.


They successfully completed product performance verification and system integration, and are currently exchanging technologies with Hanwha Vision while pursuing follow-up cooperation.

The final selected companies will receive various supports from Hanwha Vision. Major benefits include ▲PoC project support funds up to 50 million KRW ▲practical joint commercialization opportunities ▲global market entry opportunities through Hanwha Vision’s network ▲joint promotion at global security exhibitions.


Hanwha Vision reviews submitted collaboration proposals using its internal expert group and selects companies for one-on-one meetups. Startups selected for the one-on-one meetups will participate in a business meetup on July 10 to specify the PoC. Subsequently, the final companies will be chosen through executive meetups by July 25.


A Hanwha Vision official stated, "Hanwha Vision is leading technological innovation in the industry by integrating advanced technologies such as AI and cloud into video security technology that protects valuable assets and contributes to creating a safer and smarter world. We hope this program will create a virtuous cycle in the open innovation ecosystem for mutual growth and serve as an opportunity for the industry to advance further with bold ideas."


Song Chi-wook, team leader of the Seoul Creative Economy Innovation Center, said, "Since there were many good collaboration cases in last year’s first attempt at an open innovation program in the security field, we look forward to this year’s Open Stage as well. We hope many promising startups will show interest in working with Hanwha Vision, a global video security specialist company."
