Dong-A University Holds First Career Student Participation Group Career Creator Launch Ceremony

Student-Led Career Program Planning, Expansion of Career Education

The Career Development Center of the Student and Employment Support Office at Dong-A University (Director: Professor Cho Gyupan, Department of Education) announced on the 16th that it held the inaugural ceremony for the first group of career student participants, the 'Career Creators.'

The ceremony, held recently at the main building of Dong-A University's Seunghak Campus, was attended by Director Cho Gyupan, officials from the Career Development Center, and students who will serve as Career Creators in various fields.

The Career Creators, comprised of a reporting team, a planning team, and a publicity team, will, starting with this inaugural ceremony, spend the next 10 months planning, promoting, and evaluating student-led career programs. They will also play a role in expanding career education both inside and outside the university.

This initiative is based on the 'Career Roadmap (EDUMAP)' and aims to enable students to actively design their futures and explore their own career paths through diverse experiences. Through this, students are provided with new perspectives and opportunities regarding their careers.

Director Cho told the first group of student participants, "Since this is a significant beginning, I hope the creators will make a great start together with the Career Development Center," and added, "I look forward to seeing students engage in a variety of career-related activities through this first group of Career Creators."

Shin Jiwoo (junior, Department of Korean Language and Literature), who serves as the leader of the Career Creators, stated, "I will lead activities that allow all team members to unite and build strong bonds," and added, "By collaborating with the teachers at the Career Development Center, I will help students take the initiative in designing their futures and provide opportunities to explore career paths through various experiences."

The list of the first group of Career Creators includes: ▲Leader Shin Jiwoo (junior, Department of Korean Language and Literature) ▲Members Kim Dowoo (senior, Department of Political Science and Diplomacy), Son Chaebin (junior, Department of Taekwondo Studies), An Suhye (freshman, Department of Business Administration), Lee Chaeyeon (senior, Department of Management Information Systems), and Jeon Jihyun (freshman, Department of English and American Studies).
