Suncheon Traditional Market, Tourism Voucher Distribution Event

From 16th to 22nd at National Garden

Suncheon Utjang Companion Festival held from 15th to 17th

Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) and the Small Enterprise and Market Service will hold a tourism voucher distribution event from the 16th to the 22nd.

The tourism voucher is a discount coupon worth 5,000 KRW per person that can be used at Suncheon Ujjang, Araetjang, and Yeokjeon markets, which are full of Suncheon's food, entertainment, and sights. It will be distributed daily from 11 a.m. to visitors to Suncheonman National Garden East and West Gates from the 16th to the 22nd of this month and can be used until the 31st of this month.

In addition, Suncheon Ujjang will participate in the Donghaeng Festival, a nationwide event focused on promoting consumption of small and medium-sized enterprises and small business products, from the 15th to the 17th for three days, attracting the attention of tourists.

This event consists of various programs including Samulnori (traditional Korean percussion), Jangteo Yulangdan (market wandering troupe), invited singer performances, singing contests, roulette games, and children's drawing contests, providing enjoyment to visitors. Moreover, those who purchase products at Ujjang will receive a small gift as a token of appreciation, making this event expected to be a richer and more memorable festival.

An official from the city stated, “We hope that many visitors to Suncheonman National Garden will also visit Suncheon's traditional markets,” and added, “We hope the tourism vouchers and Ujjang Donghaeng events bring a little joy to everyone who visits.”
