IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 8th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KT on the 7th at the IBK headquarters in Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul, to prevent email hacking damage to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).


This MOU was established to prevent the rapidly increasing email hacking damage to SMEs by utilizing KT's Intelligent Threat Mail Blocking Service, which is recognized as a leading hacking prevention solution in Korea.


Through this agreement, the two companies plan to promote mutual cooperation by ▲ linking IBK's corporate internet and smart banking with KT's Intelligent Threat Mail Blocking Service ▲ providing differentiated benefits such as an exclusive IBK rate plan (around 30,000 KRW per month, up to 47% discount) when subscribing to KT security services through IBK corporate internet banking, and preferential interest rates on IBK financial products.


Lim Muntek, Vice President of IBK Industrial Bank's Corporate Customer Group, said, "We expect to provide a safe digital transaction environment for corporate customers through this MOU," and added, "We will continue to actively discover various services to strengthen the digital competitiveness of SMEs."


Myeong Jehun, Head of KT's Telecommunications Business Division, said, "We will share high-quality services with IBK to maximize customer satisfaction," and added, "The collaboration between the two companies will help raise digital security awareness among SMEs and improve work productivity."
