On the 6th, a post titled "I've never seen a tent set up in an apartment underground parking lot before" was uploaded to an online community. The author, Mr. A, began by saying, "I went down to check on my car in the apartment underground parking lot and couldn't believe my eyes."

In the photos shared by Mr. A, a large green tent is seen set up in a parking space. The tent is so big that it occupies two parking spots. Mr. A explained the situation, saying, "There was a big tent set up in the parking lot, and its overwhelming size made me wonder if I was seeing things wrong." He added, "Besides the size, there were sleeping bags inside the tent and traces of mosquito coils being burned. The smell of mosquito coils was strong around the tent," and lamented, "It takes up two parking spaces?I have no idea what they were thinking."

Netizens who saw the story responded with comments such as, "People like that should have their personal information exposed on the apartment community board," "They seem shameless," "If there's no way to contact them, it would be best to notify the security office to have it removed," "It's a parking shortage, so taking up two spots is a bit much," and "Maybe they had a fight between a couple."

On the other hand, some netizens said, "It looks like they put the tent out to dry; the world is too harsh," "It rained a lot during the holiday, so it seems like they are drying it because it got wet when they packed it up," "It's better to dry it in a parking spot than in the middle of a driving lane," and "Just let it dry for a day."

This is not the first time a tent installation inside a parking lot has caused controversy. In July 2022, a large tent was spotted in an apartment underground parking lot, drawing criticism. At that time, witness Mr. B said, "I was surprised when I went to park," and scolded the tent owner, saying, "It looks like you're drying the tent, but it would be better to dry it at home. It's a nuisance."

Meanwhile, according to Article 12 (Fire Prevention Measures) of the Fire Services Act, the fire chief or fire station chief may order the removal of objects or persons recognized as posing a fire hazard or obstructing firefighting activities. In the case of tents, they can be interpreted as hazardous materials or flammable objects if left carelessly, so this law may apply. Failure to comply with the order without justifiable reason can result in a fine of up to 2 million won.
