Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam successfully concluded the “102nd Children’s Day” celebration, the Changwon Children’s Grand Festival, held across the city including Changwon Yongji Cultural Park, with over 10,000 children and families participating despite the rainy weather.
The outdoor event, held for the first time in five years in line with the return to normal life, attracted many children who enjoyed a joyful time.
Hosted by Changwon Special City, the event began with a lively cheerleading performance, followed by the reading of the Children’s Rights Charter, an awards ceremony recognizing exemplary children and contributors to child welfare, and a variety of programs for the whole family including a bubble show, children’s musical, Taekwondo demonstration team performances, and experience booths.
Programs tailored to children’s perspectives included ▲ Snag Golf, which is easy for children to learn and enjoy ▲ E-Sports competition ▲ Life photo booth for families, tumbler eco-bag making ▲ Balloon art, face painting ▲ CPR and fire evacuation experiences ▲ Fire truck and police motorcycle photo zones, providing fun and enriching activities for children.
Popcorn, balloons, and signed balls were distributed to children visiting the event, and a heat relief shelter and beverages were provided at one side of the venue, receiving positive responses from children and families attending.
Additionally, Changwon FC held a Children’s Day home game at Changwon Sports Complex, offering match balls, deliveries, and signed balls, creating an exciting day.
Moreover, the Changwon Cultural Foundation is delighting children’s hearts with “Disney in Concert” at the 3·15 Art Center Grand Theater and an upcoming “Children’s Puppet Show” performance on the 25th.
