Walk along Tancheon for 30 minutes to 1 hour daily
Avoid using a car if possible
Do warm-up exercises and drink water frequently
Park Ju-seon, Chairman of the Korea Petroleum Association, had a rosy flush on his face. It stood out more because of his fair skin. When asked about his secret to health management, he said, "Walking 10,000 steps a day." He walks along Tancheon Stream in front of his house in Bundang, Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province for about 30 minutes to an hour every day. Chairman Park said, "I check the number of steps using the pedometer function on my mobile phone," adding, "If you keep it in your pocket, it counts everything."
He tries to walk instead of using a car whenever possible. He said he walked quite a bit even the day before the interview.
"Yesterday, I had some time before an appointment, so I got off early and walked. The distance was about a few kilometers, I think." When asked if that was quite a long distance, he said, "I walk regularly, so it doesn't matter. Walking makes both the body and mind lighter."

He takes a half-body bath for 30 minutes in the morning and evening. This habit started during his time as a prosecutor. Chairman Park said, "I've been taking half-body baths for over 30 years," and "When I'm at home, I frequently do warm-up exercises and drink plenty of water."
Born in 1949, Chairman Park graduated from Seoul National University Law School and passed the 16th Judicial Examination as the top scorer. He served key positions such as prosecutor at the Seoul District Prosecutors' Office, head of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd divisions of the Central Investigation Department at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, head of the 1st and 2nd Special Divisions at the Seoul District Prosecutors' Office, and Investigation Planning Officer at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office. He was known as a ‘special investigation expert’ who uncovered large-scale power-related crimes.
During the Kim Dae-jung administration, he served as the Legal Secretary at the Blue House before moving into politics in 2000. He was a four-term National Assembly member in the 16th, 18th, 19th, and 20th sessions and served as the Deputy Speaker of the 20th National Assembly. He also assisted President Yoon Seok-yeol, a fellow alumnus of Seoul National University and a junior in the prosecution, by serving as the Chairman of the Presidential Transition Committee’s Presidential Inauguration Preparation Committee for the 20th presidential term.

When asked about the results of the recent general election, the political elder emphasized ‘cooperation.’
Chairman Park said, "Whether the ruling party or the opposition holds the majority, the core value of parliamentary democracy lies in compromise and concession," adding, "We must show a mature image of cooperation through dialogue." He said, "Members of the National Assembly should fulfill their roles as representatives of the people and the nation rather than prioritizing party interests. If the National Assembly operates based on party politics, it causes anxiety among the people and inevitably raises concerns about the country's future."
