"Need for Customized Support Considering Recipient Characteristics"
Min Kyung-bae, Member of the Welfare and Environment Committee of Daejeon City Council / City Council
Min Kyung-bae, a member of the Welfare and Environment Committee of the Daejeon City Council (People Power Party, Jung-gu 3), announced that he has taken the lead in proposing the "Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Prevention of Solitary Deaths and Support for Socially Isolated Households in Daejeon Metropolitan City."
The ordinance newly establishes the basis for projects such as early detection and identification of individuals at risk of solitary death, welfare checks using information and communication technology, creation of community spaces in areas vulnerable to solitary deaths, and improvement of living environments. It also ensures the protection of privacy for the individuals concerned and those around them when implementing these projects.
Assemblyman Min Kyung-bae stated, "To prevent solitary deaths, tailored support that considers the increasingly diverse characteristics of the target individuals is necessary," adding, "We expect that the amendment to the ordinance will further strengthen the foundation for preventing and responding to solitary deaths."
If the ordinance passes the review by the Welfare and Environment Committee during the 277th extraordinary session, it will be finally approved at the plenary session.
