The 29th Central Firefighting Education Innovation Contest 'Fire Commissioner Award'
'Not the Best but the Best Choice, Severity Classification' Presentation Praised
Jeon Hyeji, Fire Captain at Gwangju Metropolitan City Fire School, won the Encouragement Award, the Fire Agency Chief's Award in the lecture category, at the '29th National Central Fire Education Innovation Competition (Teaching and Learning Field)' held on the 25th at Chungnam Gongju Central Fire School.
Hosted by the Central Fire School, this competition was organized as a venue for developing educational training techniques and strengthening capabilities through mutual exchange among instructors affiliated with fire education and training institutions.
Sixteen participants, including professors from fire schools and training centers nationwide, competed fiercely.
Fire Captain Jeon Hyeji presented on the topic "The Best Choice, Not the Best, Severity Classification," explaining how firefighters arriving at the scene of multiple casualties can quickly classify and assess victims according to severity. She received high scores in lecture development methods and technical aspects.
Captain Jeon has been granted the qualification to participate in the 42nd Public HRD Contest, hosted by the National Human Resources Development Institute, scheduled for November.
Park Dongha, Principal of Gwangju Fire School, said, "The high-level lecture capabilities of the instructors at Gwangju Fire School have been proven through this competition," adding, "We will continue to support efforts to improve lecture skills and ongoing research without hesitation."
Meanwhile, Gwangju Fire School, established in 1996, has established itself as a prestigious fire education and training institution.
It has won a total of 22 awards, including Grand Prize and Excellence Awards, at competitions hosted by the Central Fire School, and has also received the Presidential Award three times, the Prime Minister's Award four times, and the Minister's Award five times at contests hosted by the National Civil Service Human Resources Development Institute.
