Free Inspection Conducted Through Public-Private Cooperation on the 26th from 5 to 8 AM
Buan Maritime Police Station (Chief Seo Young-gyo) announced on the 24th that it will conduct free inspections and a marine safety campaign targeting water leisure equipment at Gyeokpo Port slipway for three hours from 5 to 8 a.m. on the 26th.

According to Buan Maritime Police, an analysis of water leisure accidents over the past three years showed that out of a total of 78 accidents, 40 cases (52%) were due to maintenance issues such as battery discharge. There is a risk of accidents if water leisure equipment stored during the winter season without operation is used without inspection, so pre-activity checks are important.
This free inspection of water leisure equipment will be conducted in cooperation with private specialized repair companies in the region. The services include ▲basic inspections such as motorboat engines and fuel filters ▲guidance on equipment management tips and precautions ▲information on recent revisions to the water leisure legal system and safety education.
If any abnormalities are found during the inspection, emergency measures will be taken on-site, and repairs can be arranged later in cooperation with repair companies.
