70-80% Government Support for Total Paid Insurance Premiums
DB Insurance announced on the 18th that it has been supporting the 'Small and Medium Enterprise Technology Protection Policy Insurance' in collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups since the 15th of last month.
The Small and Medium Enterprise Technology Protection Policy Insurance is a product that compensates legal costs such as attorney fees in case of disputes related to key technologies owned by SMEs, including patents. The overseas policy insurance introduced this year also covers legal dispute response costs for overseas patent applications up to 200 million KRW.
SMEs subscribed to the policy insurance can receive government support covering more than 70% of the total paid premiums for domestic policy insurance and 80% of the total premiums for overseas policy insurance.
A DB Insurance official said, "We are pleased to participate in the government policy to protect the technologies of SMEs expanding overseas," adding, "We will continue to collaborate in various ways to establish a support system for SME technology protection promoted by the government."
