Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Attends Plaque and Unveiling Ceremony of 'Shin Kyuk-ho Lotte Scholarship Hall'

On the afternoon of the 17th, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, attended the plaque unveiling and dedication ceremony of the Shin Kyuk-ho Lotte Scholarship Hall at the Lotte Scholarship Foundation located at 90 Huiujeong-ro, Mapo-gu.

This plaque unveiling and dedication ceremony was held to commemorate the renaming of the "Lotte Scholarship Foundation University Student Union Dormitory" to the "Lotte Scholarship Foundation Shin Kyuk-ho Lotte Scholarship Hall" and the installation of a bust of the late Shin Kyuk-ho, founder of the Lotte Scholarship Foundation.

The event was attended by Shin Young-ja, Chairperson of the Lotte Foundation, Jang Hye-seon, Chairperson of the Lotte Scholarship Foundation, Lee Seung-hoon, Chairperson of the Lotte Welfare Foundation, representatives of residents, student representatives, and others. The program included the plaque unveiling, bust dedication, a moment of silence and eulogy, a greeting from Jang Hye-seon, Chairperson of the Lotte Scholarship Foundation, a congratulatory speech by Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, and a tour of the scholarship hall.

In his congratulatory speech, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, "The Lotte Scholarship Hall not only reduces the housing cost burden, which is one of the biggest concerns for university students, but also provides an invaluable ladder of opportunity. I hope that the students living in the Lotte Scholarship Hall will develop their capabilities with the tireless passion, as reflected in the title of the memoirs of the late Honorary Chairman Shin Kyuk-ho. Mapo-gu will continue to support them."
