Dongjak-gu to Open 'Specialized Library for Entrance Exam Preparation'

Dongjak-gu Opens Entrance Exam Support Center + Entrance Exam Specialized Library

Dongjak-gu to Open 'Specialized Library for Entrance Exam Preparation'

Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced on the 17th that Shindaebang Nuri Library (19, Shindaebang 1-da-gil, 2nd~3rd floors) will be newly transformed into a “specialized library for college entrance exams” to support the career and academic advancement of students in the area.

In connection with the “Dongjak College Entrance Support Center (19, Shindaebang 1-da-gil, 4th floor),” which has established itself as a representative college entrance counseling institution, the goal is to enhance the competitiveness of local youth in college entrance exams and support their future planning.

Reborn as a specialized library for college entrance exams, Shindaebang Nuri Library plans to provide valuable information to local youth and parents preparing for university admission through ▲ the establishment of a specialized college entrance exam section ▲ regular and occasional operation of entrance exam programs.

First, a specialized college entrance exam corner will be set up in the atrium bookshelf, a tiered learning space, where about 100 specialized books covering ▲ study methods ▲ entrance exam information ▲ career and academic advancement will be stocked, along with two periodicals containing entrance exam information (Naeil Education, Compass 36.5) on display.

Efforts will also focus on operating various specialized programs to respond to the frequently changing college entrance exam system.

Starting in May with “How to Talk with Adolescents,” lectures are planned for June on “Effective Study Methods,” and in the second half of the year on topics such as “Literacy Education” and “NAIS School Life.”

Through the operation of a specialized library for college entrance exams in strengthened cooperation with the Entrance Support Center, it is expected to provide more specialized and systematic information to youth and become a true standard for public college entrance support.

The “Dongjak College Entrance Support Center,” opened in May last year, has provided optimal customized strategies for college entrance success, receiving a 100% satisfaction rate in surveys and gaining high approval from exam candidates.

Last year, it conducted 10 programs including ▲ one-on-one customized entrance counseling ▲ entrance consulting by admission type ▲ university student mentoring ▲ guest speaker college entrance briefings, with over 3,140 participants.

Park Il-ha, Mayor of Dongjak-gu, said, “We will do our best to transform Shindaebang Nuri Library into a specialized library for college entrance exams to provide residents with support strategies that respond to the rapidly changing university entrance system,” and added, “We will continue to expand systematic infrastructure for nurturing future talents in the Dongjak style.”
