Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) appointed a total of 20 residents, ranging from 5-year-old children to 47-year-old adults, as the '2nd Jungnang-gu Public Relations Models' on the 16th.
The Jungnang-gu Public Relations Models were first established last year to increase trust and familiarity with the district administration by having residents directly participate in local promotion, and to enhance pride as citizens of Jungnang-gu. Last year, the models actively participated, including featuring on the poster for Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival, the district's representative festival.
This year, the 2nd term public relations models were selected through a competitive process with an average competition rate of 3.15:1, choosing 6 children (ages 5-7), 7 youths (ages 8-19), and 7 adults (ages 20-59), totaling 20 people.
Going forward, they will participate in the production of major promotional materials such as newsletters and posters, as well as filming videos of key attractions and seasonal tourist spots, to widely promote the charm of Jungnang-gu.
Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi said, “Since local residents themselves have become models, we expect their affection and passion for the public relations model activities to be exceptional,” and added, “We will continue to deliver various news about Jungnang-gu together with the public relations models.”
