Yeongyang-gun Conducts Qualitative Indicator Consulting in Preparation for City and County Joint Evaluation

Improving Administrative Service Quality and Enhancing Competitiveness

Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will conduct customized consulting by inviting experts for team leaders and staff in charge of 15 qualitative indicators to improve the performance of the 2025 city-county joint evaluation (based on 2024 results) from the 16th to the 17th at the county office's small conference room.

The total number of indicators for this year's city-county joint evaluation, conducted annually to achieve major national and provincial policy goals, is 104, consisting of 89 quantitative and 15 qualitative indicators.

Unlike quantitative indicators that simply measure whether targets are met, qualitative indicators require writing excellent policies unique to Yeongyang-gun in a storytelling format. The evaluation comprehensively assesses various aspects such as the local government's efforts to implement the policies, effectiveness, and potential for dissemination.

Additionally, for some indicators, the public participates directly in the evaluation when selecting outstanding cases.

The consulting content conducted ahead of the first submission in June includes analysis of evaluation indicators and manuals for writing qualitative data with high distinctiveness and completeness, discovering best practices, and methods for preparing performance summaries.

An employee who attended the consulting said, “Previously, I did not know well how to write to receive a good evaluation, so I wrote by listing various events or projects, and the results did not meet expectations. Receiving this consulting is a great help,” and added, “I will also participate in the second consulting in September and do my best until the final submission.”

County Governor Oh Do-chang urged, “Along with this consulting, I hope you actively reflect the excellent policies our county is promoting in the indicators and do your best to discover outstanding cases to improve the quality of administrative services and strengthen competitiveness.”
