First Domestic New Product Launch Show
Corner Cleaning AI Features, Software, etc.
"Leading Korea in Technology as Well"
"Samsung Electronics has launched an all-in-one robot vacuum cleaner, and I understand that LG Electronics is also planning to launch one. Rather than seeing the two companies as competitors, we view them as companies leading the market together. Roborock considers Roborock itself as its competitor." - Kim Seoyoung, Head of Marketing, Roborock Korea
"I believe that focusing on excellence, exemplary competitors, or market share figures will not yield good long-term results." - Dan Cham, Head of Asia-Pacific Marketing

Chinese home appliance company Roborock announced on the 16th that it will focus on launching its innovative products rather than being conscious of Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics. On the same day, Roborock held a launch show for the 'Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra' at the InterContinental Seoul COEX Hotel in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and made this announcement. This is the first time Roborock has held a new product launch show in Korea.
Roborock stated that its domestic robot vacuum cleaner market share is 35.5%, and its market share in the high-end robot vacuum cleaner segment priced above 1.5 million KRW is 80.5%. This officially declares Roborock as the world's top robot vacuum cleaner company in Korea.
At the launch show, Head Cham proudly said, "Today, Roborock has sold over 15 million products in 170 countries, becoming number one in the global robot vacuum cleaner market," adding, "This result confirms Roborock's belief that beyond the numbers, continuous dedication and effort will bring positive long-term outcomes."
Roborock expressed confidence that its technology, including artificial intelligence (AI) recognition and cleaning functions, surpasses those of Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics. The dust suction power is 10,000 Pa (Pascal), exceeding both its previous product's 6,000 Pa and competitors' products. In AI technology, Roborock products also hold an advantage in corner cleaning.
In particular, the newly unveiled S8 MaxV Ultra is equipped with a 'flexi arm' side brush designed to clean even fine dust in corners and edges. When AI recognizes corners within the cleaning space, the flexi arm side brush automatically extends to suck up dust in hard-to-reach areas. During mop cleaning, the extra edge mop cleans thoroughly within 1.68 mm of wall edges without leaving gaps.
Head Kim said, "Unlike other companies' products that find it difficult to clean small dust in corners and large dust simultaneously, Roborock products added the 'flexi arm' function to handle both at once," adding, "In terms of application stability, software, algorithms, and AI functions, Roborock leads over other companies' products, including Samsung and LG."
They also pledged to strengthen customer service (CS). After-sales service (AS) will be available at 344 Hi-Mart branches nationwide from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., even on weekends. Professional technicians will handle everything from delivery to installation, and if consumers raise complaints about defective products, they will be immediately replaced with new ones.
Head Cham said, "We recognize the strong potential of the Korean market and prioritize it," adding, "We will continue to practice our 'customer-centric' philosophy in the Korean market."
